Your Role





Key responsibilities in your new role

Take responsibility:

Support the EWM Operations team in converting demand planning data into actionable insights. Build clear, reliable datasets and lightweight pipelines that read, organize, and prepare data for analysis and machine learning modeling

Focus on the future:

Develop and evaluate straightforward machine learning approaches (e.g., classification, clustering) to categorize data structures for our operations and digitization teams, including baseline time-series analytical models and marketing trends and evaluation

Data is everything:

Establish a simple, easy-to-use data backbone support in Data modelling and transformation

Being strong together:

Create lightweight methods and visuals (e.g., simple dashboards or UIs) that make it easy for colleagues to explore, filter, and understand data and model results. Prototype quickly and iterate based on feedback

Teamwork is dreamwork:

Collaborate with experts to define structure categories, attributes, and criteria, and align on a pragmatic prototype to pilot. Translate business needs into data and model requirements

Stakeholder management:

Document your work clearly (OneNote, Confluence, dashboards) and present progress, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders. Communicate assumptions, and next steps transparently

Shape the future:

Participate in exploring next-step ML approaches that support faster decision-making in planning cycles (e.g., anomaly detection, time-series methods), run small experiments, and propose data-driven improvements


Your Profile





Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

Study field

: You are currently studying Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematic or similar

Skills:

You are familiar with programming in Python and SQL and applying basic machine learning concepts to real-world data

Interests:

You have an interest in semiconductor industry and passionate to learn how machine learning influence demand forecasts to higher profitability and quicker market response

Way of working:

You communicate clearly, document thoughtfully, and can translate data details into practical next steps

Personality

: You are proactive, curious, enjoy working in a team, and are good at dealing with a wide range of opinions and turning ambiguities into tangible results

Language skills:

You have good and English skills, both written and spoken; German is a plus

Important information:

Working part-time

: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.

Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome

: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree program. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.

You should live close to the site

: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.
