The Technical Services department at Gigafactory Berlin’s Building and Infrastructure team is seeking a skilled and motivated Water and Utilities Engineering Technician. This role supports the operation, maintenance, and optimization of critical water systems, including wastewater, rainwater, domestic water, and greywater systems. The technician will work closely with the Water and Utilities Engineer and canal maintenance team to ensure high system availability, compliance with regulations, and continuous improvement of system performance.
What You'll Do
Assist in monitoring and maintaining wastewater, rainwater, domestic water, and greywater systems.
Support the development and execution of maintenance plans and operational procedures for water systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), Waste Management, and the Permitting team, to ensure compliance with local regulations.
Help gather data and prepare reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and compliance status.
Participate in projects aimed at improving system efficiency, reliability, and environmental performance.
Learn to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and other technical drawings related to water systems.
What You'll Bring
Background in civil engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
Interest in water systems management, utilities, or environmental compliance.
Basic understanding of water and utility systems (wastewater, rainwater, etc.) is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in German and English is preferred.
