We are looking for an innovative 3D Piping Designer to join our Process Design team in Gigafactory Berlin. The process design team drives to create the factory of the future by bringing conceptual designs to life, producing cutting-edge detailed design of chemical and utility systems that are fully integrated with manufacturing processes.
What You'll Do
Broad set of process engineering tasks to solve technical problems and create novel detailed designs on Revit for a wide range of mechanical process engineering systems from gases to high purity water, involving unit operations such as pump and compressor systems, reverse osmosis, distillation, heat transfer fluid systems, etc
Scope development design
P&IDs in Autocad and 3D pipe design in Revit
Specification development including equipment, piping and valve selection and sizing, material compatibility analysis, etc
Relief valve selection, calculations, and documentation
Review process design work performed by others on the Process Team to ensure every pipe design maintains the highest level of quality. Continually develop and improve upon Tesla project workflows and standards to ensure each design is consistently excellent
What You'll Bring
2+ years experience as technical draftsman for Chemical pipe systems, mnodelling/detailing of piping designs on AutoCad, Revit MEP, Navisworks
Good understanding in the use of BIM platforms (ACC)
Familiar with some typical equipment and technologies, like compressed air, handling industrial gases, waste and pure water treatment and distribution, piping specifications, heat transfer tools etc
Ability to adapt to fast pace working environment, distill, document, and manage scope effectively to accelerate dynamic projects
Able to take over the ownership and responsibility of a subject and to follow up multiple issues
