Your Role

This is a

12-month fixed-term position

.

As a Technologist you will expand our Biosystems Cell Factories team by driving the development of biotechnological processes through hands-on lab work. Key tasks of your role in our molecular and microbiological environment include:


Execution and documentation of experiments in the biotechnological laboratories

Construction of synthetic cell factories

Cultivation trials and media optimization for S1 microorganisms

Development and implementation of enzymatic assays

Preparation and analysis of chromatographic samples

Production of sensory samples

General maintenance of the laboratories

About You

Completed vocational training as a biology laboratory technician with 2+ years experience or comparable technical background, e.g. Bachelor/Master of Science in biotechnology, molecular biology, microbiology or related fields

Excellent knowledge in biotechnology with focus on molecular biology, microbial cultivation, biotransformation & enzyme assay development

Confident handling of relevant research tools (e.g. PubMed, SciFinder, BLAST)

Knowledge of natural product chemistry and basic analytical techniques would be beneficial

Confident handling of the MS 365 suite

You are an independent, proactive & collaborative team player, demonstrating attention to detail and upholding high standards

Proficiency in written and spoken English is expected, Advanced German skills (minimum C1 level) are essential.
