Important Looking Pirates is looking for a new Talent Manager to join the crew! If you are passionate about people and VFX, we want to hear from you!


As at Talent Manager, you are the direct People Manager for a group of employees with both different skills and roles. Your primary goal is to manage and guide each employee in your group to thrive, develop and mature as a Pirate, in alignment with the company’s vision, values and goals.


As part of your role, you closely collaborate with crewing, recruitment and other key stakeholders to recruit, develop, crew and on/off-board employees.


You will be part of our Talent Development Team that has the overall mission to balance both the company’s and the employee’s best interests. You report to the Head of Talent Development.


The employment is a permanent contract in Stockholm, London or Hamburg (Hybrid). We are looking for candidates who are able to start sometime in October-November.

Your work will include

+ Defining, implementing, and maintaining individual development plans aligned with company goals, appraisals, and personal career aspirations. + Overseeing appraisals, promotions, and salary adjustments in accordance with individual development plans and company policy.
+ Establishing mentorship relationships in collaboration with key stakeholders.
+ Influencing and coordinating project crewing in with the crewing team.
+ Initiating training programs, lectures, and inspirational talks together with key stakeholders.
+ Manage recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding in collaboration with the HR and recruitment team
+ Handle hiring administration.
+ Manage and escalate issues and concerns in compliance with local law and ILP values and policies.

You need the following

Experience as people manager, supporting a group of 10+ with personnel responsibilities Proven experience from the VFX, gaming, technology or media/entertainment sector. Professional experience within learning & development, initiating individual development plans, training programs and promoting a learning culture Fluent in English (written and spoken). A University degree in a field related to Human Resources Management, organisational psychology, or business management/administration is preferred
