At Reethaus we are looking for highly organized and detail-oriented Servers to work alongside our Event Operations Manager to execute events and programming on either a part-time basis or an occasional basis.
The Reethaus is a semi-subterranean performance space that recently opened as part of the Flussbad campus which will encompass exhibition spaces, gastronomy, creative studios, and holistic health offerings. Inspired by ancient temples, the Reethaus is designed with a 360-degree spatial sound system that creates ideal conditions for experiential installations, mind-body practice, holistic learning, and artistic performance drawn from Berlin’s rich cultural scene.
You should be energetic, detail-oriented and precise in how you work, with a passion for hospitality, food and beverages. We value personal initiative, engagement, a proactive mindset and original ideas. You will contribute to a work environment that is respectful, considerate, and team-oriented.
Responsibilities
Ensure that program spaces and surrounding areas are set up correctly. Keep the venue and work areas clean and tidy. Ensure that the venue is correctly and adequately stocked with beverages, food, equipment, cutlery, tableware and glassware at all times. Greeting and guiding guests. Present and explain food and beverages to guests Attend to requests and complaints from guests, and address them in a timely and appropriate manner. Ensure furnishings and equipment are maintained, providing a safe, clean and pleasant environment. Close the venue after service to the established standard. Attend communication meetings and nominated training sessions. Perform all reasonable tasks designated by the Event Operations Manager.
Requirements
Proven work experience as a Server in a highly valued hospitality environment. Attentive and service-minded. Excellent presentation skills. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment. Active listening and effective communication skills in German and English. Team spirit. Flexibility to work in shifts.
