We are looking for a
Research Assistant (gn)
for a project studying cross-partisan conversations, part-time for 10-15 hours/week, to start in January 2026. The contract is limited to 6 months.
Your tasks:
Work with conversation diaries, transcripts, audio, and video recordings to build structured datasets Develop and run analyses on conversational dynamics (e.g., content, tone, turn-taking, sentiment, behavioral indicators) Assist in coding and classifying conversation features (text-based and audio/video-based) Conduct descriptive and exploratory empirical analysis in Stata, R, or Python Contribute to documenting the workflow and preparing summary materials
Your profile:
Proficiency in Stata, R, or Python (at least one; more is a plus) Strong analytical skills and interest in applied empirical research Ability or willingness to work with multi-modal data (text, audio, video) Reliability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
