Your responsibilities
Duties include academic services in the project named above. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.
Join the Cluster of Excellence “BlueMat: Water-Driven Materials” (www.tuhh.de/bluemat) and contribute to one of Europe’s most exciting research initiatives. Collaborate with a dynamic, interdisciplinary team that combines science, sustainability, and technology to create a better future. Help shape the next generation of sustainable materials inspired by nature’s most powerful resource: water.
In this Cross Area Exploitation & Experiencing project, we will develop the MetaMaterialVerse (MMV), an immersive XR platform that visualizes complex volumetric data of porous, water-containing blue materials used in sustainable energy. Researchers will use the platform to analyze pore networks, water dynamics, and nanoscale structures interactively through advanced VR rendering, supporting hypothesis generation and collaboration. The candidate’s tasks include developing real-time volumetric visualization, implementing interactive analysis tools, creating data pipelines, and evaluating user performance to improve the platform. The goal is to enhance scientific insight, education, and public engagement by making the intricate behaviors of water in these materials directly perceptible.
