Rack and Stack Datacentre Technician
Ireland/ Germany/ Italy/France/ Czech
3months contract with possible extension
Key Responsibilities
Perform rack and stack installation of servers, network devices, and related hardware in data centre environments
Install, label, route, and terminate structured cabling (copper and fiber) according to industry standards
Configure and support Cisco networking equipment, including switches and routers
Connect and manage AC and DC power systems, including PDUs and redundant power setups
Ensure proper cable management, airflow optimization, and equipment placement within racks
Conduct hardware troubleshooting, diagnostics, and basic network connectivity testing
Follow data centre best practices, safety procedures, and change management protocols
Assist with equipment decommissioning, relocation, and asset tracking
Maintain accurate documentation for installations, cabling layouts, and inventory
Collaborate with network engineers, operations teams, and vendors to support infrastructure projects
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: 2+ years in rack and stack installations, preferably in data centres. Strong knowledge of Cisco networking equipment and structured cabling. Familiarity with power systems (AC/DC), cable routing, and termination. Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs). * Understanding of data centre best practices and safety protocols.
