Role Overview
The Commercial Lead will oversee commercial strategy, drive financial performance, and lead QS and commercial teams across large-scale data centre projects. This is a strategic leadership position requiring deep commercial expertise and strong stakeholder influence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead commercial strategy and governance for complex construction projects
Manage quantity surveying and commercial teams across regions
Oversee tendering, procurement, and contract administration
Ensure compliance with financial, legal, and contractual frameworks
Drive profitability and implement effective risk mitigation
Build trusted relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
Experience Required
8–10+ years
in quantity surveying or commercial management
Proven experience as
Commercial Lead / Commercial Manager
on major European projects
Strong background in construction,
data centres
, or large-scale infrastructure
Experience managing operations across
Germany and other European countries
Expertise in cost control, commercial governance, risk management, and negotiation
Skills & Competencies
Expert knowledge of quantity surveying and project commercials
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities
Confident operating in fast-paced, multinational environments
Proficient in cost analysis, forecasting, and commercial reporting
Data centre or high-tech construction experience is highly advantageous
