Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Working student to join our team. As a Test Automation Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, implementing and managing automated testing processes for our power conversion applications. Your primary goal will be to enable testing teams to seamlessly implement tests on an abstract level, ensuring efficient and reliable software validation. You will learn about collaboration in cross-functional teams, software development principles, automation techniques and be exposed to model-based engineering tools and physical instruments.

Focus on the future:

You will develop and maintain a test automation framework, tools and scripts to support testing teams in efficient and reliable software validation

Keep up to date:

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining technical documentation for a test automation framework, tools and scripts




Your Profile



Study field:

You are currently studying Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar

Experience:

You ideally have experience with object-oriented programming and scripting languages, particularly Python and with test and measurement instruments

Personality:

You have excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions

Skills:

You have strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Interests:

You are eager to learn about software infrastructure topics, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) and you enjoy developing your knowledge in various areas, including software development and testing

Language skills:

You have good English skills, both written and spoken

Important information:


Working part-time:

The focus is on studies. Therefore, working student is possible during the lecture period with a maximum of 20 hours per week.

Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome:

You must be enrolled and the examination results or modules of your studies must not have been completed yet, so that you can still work in our team for at least 6 months. You must also not be in a semester of leave.

You should live close to the site:

It is important for us to work with you on site and to integrate you into the team. You should therefore be able to come to the site regularly.
