Textiles/ Homeware Designer – work from home MUST BE FLUENT IN ENGLISHWe are looking for a Designer to work for a home textiles manufacturing company. The candidate will cover the full end-to-end process of design and development of cushions, throws, duvets, fabrics and Bathmats, as well as other soft furnishings products. The company has their own factories in India and the main UK office in London.Your role will focus on designing these products, from concept to sign off. The role includes design and drawing so you must have experience with the relevant software and be comfortable using it daily. An interest or experience in designing textiles is necessary, with experience of working with and an exceptional knowledge of fabrics and various techniques like weaving, printing, embroidery etc.Skills and Experience:

7+ years professional experience
-The candidate should have experience working with large high street retail customers.

CAD (Computer Aided Design) Experience/ other digital software experience Experience with designing soft furnishings / textiles Experience with creating patterns and various techniques like weaving, embroidery, printing, tufting etc Creativity Degree in art / textiles / fashion or other related subject would be desirable
We require a designer that is matured in their growth of being a designer. That will think on their own accord, be reliable and have a commitment to deliver.We will initially require you to send an online portfolio, then if selected you will be invited for an interview.We aim to respond back to all applicants.Contract hours to be negotiated. - Create and develop design concepts for various projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design consistency and alignment with brand guidelines
- Use Sketchup, Adobe Illustrator, and other design software to create visual assets
- Incorporate feedback and make revisions to designs as necessary
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in design
- Assist with photography and image editing for marketing materials
- Collaborate with web developers to implement designs on websites
- Create 3D models and animations using Maya or other 3D software
- Develop user interfaces and layouts using CSS and HTMLQualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in textile design, Visual Communication, or related field/ equivalent
- Proficiency in Sketchup, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and other design software
- Strong artistic skills including sketching and drawing ability
- Experience with web design and knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with CAD software for technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
