This role will be part of the Corporate Functions Tower for Group Technology ( IT 1.12), which oversees IT service delivery and manages key relationships across all corporate and central units, including Finance, HR, Legal & Compliance, Services/Facilities, and Procurement. The Tower also manages cross-functional domains such as document management, collaboration platforms, corporate websites, and Group-wide Identity Access Management (IAM), as well as selected central platforms and Regulatory/Integrated Risk Management (IRM) product delivery.

As a Technical Architect you will create, iterate, and maintain technical and data architectures. In this role, you will ensure a high quality technical system design which supports system performance, at optimal operational cost under the circumstances of flexibility and future change.

The Tower also manages cross-functional domains such as document management, collaboration platforms, corporate websites, and Group-wide Identity Access Management (IAM), as well as selected central platforms and Regulatory/Integrated Risk Management (IRM) product delivery. You will support the technical operations platform of Munich Re ServiceNow instances.
Your job
Serve as the primary point of contact for consultation with IT internal requesters, projects or business customers on the ITSM platform (ServiceNow) including its modules and interfaces
Verifying the requirements with the platform's OOB functionality, performing gap analysis and proposing additional platform OOB modules if necessary
Design and develop complex solutions based on the requirements on ITSM, ITOM, SAM, HAM, HR, SecOps, WSD, AppEngine and other modules
Estimating effort for all customizations, integrations, configurations and development work
Responsible for technical documentation and work instructions for day-to-day operations of new implementations, or their customizations and configurations, including effort estimation
Ensure system architecture supports business scalability and strategies and meets audit, compliance and security requirements
Collaborate with IT and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions that meet customer needs
Performing Application and Service Mapping processes and troubleshooting the errors
Review and modify existing ServiceNow CMDB patterns as needed
Enable, configure and operate discovery of new and existing infrastructure components
Develop, perform and document automated Discovery procedures by ensuring identification and reconciliation rules, monitor error logs, troubleshoot and resolve any related issues
Lead in the implementing, configuration and maintenance of interfaces and integrations
Creating and configuring of reports, dashboards, schedules, access, permissions, credentials and other operational activities or outputs associated with discovery functions
Your profile
University degree in IT or business information management or equivalent qualification
Outstanding ability and experience in developing and implementing ITSM/ITIL and ITOM processes and solutions, with a deep process/functional and technical understanding of the CMDB
ServiceNow Certifications for System Administrator and Certified Implementation Specialist for ITSM and core ITOM applications
Minimum 5 years of practical experience as ServiceNow Developer
Advanced experience with web technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, etc.)
Excellent interpersonal skills combined with practice establishing and maintaining credibility as a ServiceNow expert
ITIL Foundation (minimum) or even better ITIL Expert Certifications
Experience soliciting and documenting requirements and evolving these requirements into successful solutions
Experience working in a fast pace, ambitious and agile environment
Very good spoken and written Business English
