You’ll be part of the Material Planning team, which is an international, experienced, fun, and vital team at Tesla. Working directly with the team collaboratively, you’ll have the unique opportunity to make changes and improvements to our processes. Most importantly, you will support us in our day-to-day business and participate in additional project activities.
The supply chain planning team is responsible for ensuring that all direct vehicle parts are delivered to the plant on time and in the required quantity. The team coordinates with suppliers to ensure delivery, manages inventory levels and optimizes the supply chain to meet production targets.
What You'll Do
Support on challenging material planning to ensure demands from current production and new programs
Maintain accurate MRP data to reflect confirmed delivery quantities and due dates from suppliers, validate, troubleshoot, and resolve discrepancies
Assist onboarding and training of new suppliers to ensure operational excellence and compliance with Tesla’s supply chain processes and policies
Deliver material coverage and cost analyses as needed. Provide data-driven decision support to the organization through what-if and scenario planning
System enhancement and implementation to optimally reflect supply chain
Collaborate with internal teams (Production, Logistics, Procurement, NPI, etc.) and external partners (suppliers etc.) to optimize the supply chain and ensure the flow of material
Gather experience of ramping up the material planning process in one of the most advanced high-volume electric vehicle factories in the world
Work in a highly dynamic and international environment
What You'll Bring
Preferably studying a relevant field like Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
Knowledge in Logistics, Material Planning, and supplier relationships
Microsoft Office skills and fast adaption to new IT tools
Advanced Level in German and English
Good communication skills
Capable of working in a fast-paced and always changing environment
Proactive and independent work mentality
The ability to keep the overview and improve processes.
