The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of one year. There are good prospects for an extension. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany. You will work 20 hours/week, to enable you to continue your qualification within the framework of your current studies. Mobile work within Germany is possible in agreement with your team. 100% mobile work is not possible. The position is remunerated with 15 Euro per hour.



The Legal & Compliance Unit is an international team managing Welthungerhilfe’s legal and compliance risks. It covers contract and inheritance law, global compliance, fraud and corruption prevention, data protection, and child protection, including investigations and training worldwide.

As a Working Student in Legal & Compliance, you will comprehensively support the entire Legal & Compliance Department in its exceptionally diverse and highly international tasks, thereby gaining in-depth insight into the way an international NGO operates.



Your responsibilities

You will provide support in:
Administration of estates bequeathed to Welthungerhilfe Planning and implementation of the annual global compliance campaign Legal research, preparation of internal legal opinions, fact-finding, and correspondence with program countries Various tasks within the Corporate Compliance area Data protection matters Planning and preparation of trainings and training materials Planning and preparation of departmental projects and events Maintenance and design of the department’s website Creation and analysis of surveys and evaluations Preparation of contract templates




Your profile

You are a student currently enrolled at a university/college, ideally with a focus on law; however, students from other fields of study are also very welcome to apply You have good command of MS Office applications You work in a reliable, structured, and well-organized manner You enjoy working in an intercultural environment and are an open-minded personality You have very good written and spoken German and English skills; good French skills are an advantage
