Your mission




The Student Academic Advisor at Schiller International is responsible for guiding the student through their entire journey at Schiller, from the time they enroll, providing them orientation as they begin their studies, until they graduate, making sure all their requirements are fulfilled. The Advisor will be the primary contact for student requests and will coordinate with all departments within Student Services and Academics to ensure the student’s needs are met. The Advisor will actively engage with students in mentorship and keep ongoing regular communication, lead initiatives to increase retention, graduation rates, and student employment rates, and keeping updated data for compliance and regulatory needs. The Advisor will also lead student life initiatives on campus such as welcome weeks or other campus engagement events in coordination with the Student Services Team.

Tasks and Responsabilities



Work collaboratively with university administrative and academic leadership, Marketing department, faculty, students, academic support, and external stakeholder groups to support realization of the university objectives where academics and student experience are concerned. Advise students on a regular, pro-active basis. Provide information to Students regarding academic requirements on a regular basis. Work with operational systems and procedures to improve data gathering and archiving of student information, working closely with the IT team. Participate in Institutional Assessment and Improvement plans. Coordinate with Registrars where academic planning is concerned. Lead and promote on site student life events to promote student experience within key learning areas and values at Schiller. Communicate regularly with students regarding their requirements to complete studies. Coordinate jointly with Employability Advisor input across team to collate data for submission of G&E charts as per ACCSC submission timetable. Issue certificates of completion for students for in-house SIU courses and global challenges. Any other duties as assigned by the Campus Director.

Your Profile



Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Humanities or similar field preferred. Min. 3 -5 years experience in Higher Education student experience related services Experience with Student Information Systems. Experience in mentorship or coaching a must. Full English proficiency Fluent in German
