Stores Operative - BER



As part of easyJet’s renowned Engineering and Maintenance team, you will engage with all aspects of the airline’s operation to deliver the highest standards of aircraft performance and Europe’s highest technical despatch reliability, as recognised by Airbus. With the introduction of the cutting-edge NEO aircraft and the arrival of the A321 in 2018, there couldn’t be a better time to join the team. The Stores Operative plays a key role in the successful delivery of planned daily maintenance activities and ensures the station’s stock levels are maintained. With meticulous attention to detail, the Stores Operative ensures accurate preloading of material and expedites the return of unserviceable components. You will help maintain the highest safety standards, ensuring that planned in-house maintenance activities support both regulatory standards and easyJet’s industry-leading safety and technical standards.

What you’ll be doing:

Ensure that all material and tooling shipments are inspected for damage and handled in a timely manner. Acceptance and receipt of material and spares for planned maintenance activity and stock holding replenishment. Support operation with COAS (carriage of air spares) requirements. Liaise with material and commercial stock suppliers to ensure station operating minimums are maintained. Support production planning process through the pre-loading of aircraft spares and material for the upcoming night's work. Place any damaged items in quarantine until the discrepancy is resolved. Ensure prompt return of unserviceable parts in line with company process. Assist in ensuring the calibration periods of calibrated tooling and equipment are not exceeded. Control of company tooling and tooling loans to other bases. Compliance with known and notified health and safety requirements, communicating them to others when appropriate. Ensure that company and contracted customers' policies are complied with. Accept other duties and responsibilities as may reasonably be requested by the Stores and Tooling Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, Certifying Licensed Engineer, or Base Manager.

What you’ll need to do the role:

We are seeking candidates with a background in engineering or stores/tooling, a current driving license, and proficiency in IT. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and a willingness to be flexible to meet deadlines and overcome operational problems.

Location & Hours of Work

This full-time role will be based in Berlin working DDNN 12 hour shifts. Shift pattern will be 4x4.
