Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop backend services supporting search bar query, retrieval, and ranking scenarios. Integrate machine learning models into online search services through microservice-based architectures. Build and maintain high-performance backend systems using Java and Spring Boot. Collaborate with machine learning engineers to support model deployment, serving, and optimisation. Ensure system scalability, reliability, and low-latency performance under high traffic. Document system design decisions and share backend best practices within the team.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field. 3+ years of experience in Java programming and Spring Boot. Experience related to search systems, such as retrieval, ranking, or advertising. Experience with microservices architecture and service deployment. Ability to communicate effectively in English and Chinese.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting ML-enabled search systems in production environments. Experience working on high-concurrency or low-latency services. Experience in large internet or consumer-facing technology companies. Familiarity with distributed systems design.
