Service Manager

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to implement the service strategy and drive service growth at the respective unit level. Each day, you will lead the Service organization and be responsible for the P&L to achieve performance targets and to optimize the utilization of Service resources. You will also showcase your expertise by running the day-to-day service business to ensure profitable growth and improvement of service productivity.


The work model for the role is: hybrid. #LI-Hybrid


This role is leading the Marine & Port Department in Germany. Main stakeholders are German Ship owners and Ship Managers as well the global Marine and Ports Service Network.


You will be mainly accountable for:

Creating and driving implementation of service strategy as a member of the management team. Ensuring that strategic plans are implemented consistently in the service organization through collaboration with other businesses. Driving, implementing, reporting, and monitoring performance targets as part of the respective unit P&L (financial, productivity, investments, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, etc.). Investing in improving the quality of existing service products and in developing new service products to expand the portfolio in line with global direction.

You will join a dynamic and interdisciplinary team, where you will be able to proof your project manager and leadership skills.

Qualifications for the role

You are highly skilled as Service Manager in the shipping industry. Background in shipping industry is a plus You are passionate about driving decarbonization and digitalization to the shipping industry. Degree in Electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Ship Operation engineering or Business Administration with relevant technical experience. You are at ease communicating in German and English.
