We are looking for you as: Data Scientist/Data Analyst

The Senior Engineer is a key technical contributor within GreenStone Energy’s agile development team; they are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions. Working within a Scrum framework, the role requires a deep understanding of programming, system architecture, and agile development principles to deliver scalable and efficient software that supports the company’s customer, energy, and financial management systems.

This role involves active collaboration with cross-functional team members, including Project Owners, DevOps engineers, and other Software Engineers to ensure seamless integration of software solutions and alignment with business goals. As a Senior Engineer you will be expected to provide technical leadership by mentoring developers at all levels, you’ll be able to take part in improving development processes and ensuring high-quality, maintainable code.

Key job responsibilities:

Designing modular and reusable microservices and components. Implementing APIs and data pipelines. Integrating solutions with cloud platforms, financial institutions, and energy-related external systems. Continuous improvement of the team's workflow. Leveraging automated testing and CI/CD pipelines to enhance reliability and delivery speed. Establish architectural principles, selecting design patterns and mentoring team members on their appropriate application.
This role is pivotal in driving innovation and efficiency within the organization, helping to support Greenstone Energy’s commitment to technological excellence and shareholder value. The Senior Engineer applies a strategic mindset to both technical challenges and team dynamics, ensuring that projects meet both current and future needs of the business.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 7+ years relevant experience in software development Proficiency with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Python, Java, Typescript, Scala, Golang, C++

Can process data meaningfully and put it into a coherent context.

Have an analytical or quantitative degree at BSc level, e.g. in mathematics, physics, meteorology, or engineering.

Have a keen interest in data analysis and automated trading.

Have the ability to think logically and abstractly and solve problems in a structured and analytical way

Enjoy learning and professional exchange

Speak German or English fluently

Have very good knowledge of Python and SQL

Are interested in the energy industry and renewable energies
