As a

Senior Software Engineer

on our

PIM team

, you’ll play a critical role in scaling and improving a core part of our platform that started small and has grown significantly. You’ll tackle the challenges of evolving a mature, monolithic system—making it more modular, functional, and future-ready.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements, decouple legacy systems, and shape the technical foundation of our PIM services. Your Tasks

You design, implement, and maintain robust backend solutions for our Product Information Management (PIM) system using PHP (Laravel), with exposure to Golang as a plus You lead efforts to

refactor, decouple, and modernize

legacy code—turning a growing project into a scalable service You drive architectural improvements and technical strategy to improve maintainability, functionality, and performance You collaborate closely with product managers and engineers across teams to deliver high-impact features and technical enhancements You proactively identify and implement improvements that go beyond maintaining the status quo—making systems better, faster, and more scalable You support scaling efforts and ensure that the growing demands on the PIM system are met with sustainable engineering practices You promote engineering excellence through code reviews, shared standards, and mentorship

Your Profile

You bring 5+ years of experience as a backend engineer, ideally working with mature systems and large codebases You have strong knowledge of

PHP

, ideally with modern frameworks like

Laravel

; exposure to

Golang

is a plus You are experienced in working with and refactoring

legacy systems

, especially within monolithic architectures You are skilled in

decoupling monoliths

and improving functionality for better performance and scalability You are passionate about building systems that evolve gracefully and sustainably over time You are a strong communicator and thrive in cross-functional collaboration You uphold high standards for code quality, performance, and maintainability You speak fluent English; German is a plus
