About elevait
The mission of elevait is to turn data into strategic knowledge through a scalable platform that automates, validates, and connects information. Serving sectors like Energy, Finance, and the Public Sector, we enable confident decisions through enterprise-grade document intelligence. Our Dresden-based engineering team prioritizes modular ownership and collaborative design over silos. We focus on building the "Golden Path" for resilient software, bridging the gap between cutting-edge AI services and code-first orchestration.
Your Role
You won’t just be a "DevOps person" on the sidelines—you’ll be a core backend engineer who helps us modernize our build and release processes. You’ll take ownership of our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring our transition from Apache NiFi to a Python-based orchestration layer is smooth, fast, and transparent.
We’re not looking for someone who already knows everything. Instead, we want a curious, motivated engineer who is excited by the challenge of improving our systems, eager to learn, and willing to help us leave behind outdated processes.
You’ll have the chance to:Lead the modernization of our CI/CD world, with support to learn and grow.
Collaborate with our infrastructure team to implement Helm-based deployments and FluxCD synchronization.
Contribute to backend development, whether it’s building new APIs or improving our orchestration layer.
Act as a "Product Owner" for developer experience, identifying bottlenecks and proposing solutions.
What You Will DoStandardize the Lifecycle: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, or similar) for linting, testing, Docker image creation, and security scanning. We’ll support you in learning our tools and improving them.
Infrastructure-as-Code: Maintain and evolve Helm charts for our core services. Experience with Kubernetes and GitOps is a plus, but we’ll help you get up to speed.
Quality Engineering: Integrate automated testing (unit, integration, E2E) into our release flow. Your ideas for improving quality are welcome!
Feature Development: Write clean, maintainable code in Python (and occasionally Java) to contribute to our platform’s processing and orchestration.
