What we’re looking for

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customs & Trade Compliance Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of import and export regulations, particularly within the EU with a focus on Germany and Poland.
This role requires a proactive individual with excellent analytical and technical skills, who can navigate customs procedures and interface directly with customs authorities to ensure compliance and optimize trade operations.
Key responsibilities:
Coordination, monitoring and optimization of all Import and Export customs procedures in Germany and Poland
Support on implementation and monitoring of customs clearance processes for all EFTA and UK markets
Collaborate with the Product Managers on the implementation and optimization of Customs Declaration software, ensuring customs requirements are accurately reflected in system design.
Seek automation opportunities and leverage technologies via customs declaration self-filling project implementation
Acting as a contact person for future customs audits and all relevant audits concerning Customs simplifications and Licenses
Collaborate with business units to proactively identify compliance issues and comply with regulatory obligations
Ensuring compliance with customs and export law
Preparation of customs and export-specific documentation (process descriptions, etc.) and implementation in practice
Acting as a central point of contact for all specialist departments and external service providers in the area of customs
Representing the company to authorities
Cooperation in relevant projects
Qualifications:
Excellent knowledge of Import and export regulations
Experience with customs practice in EU (with focus on Germany and Poland), including identification of issues related to import and export procedures that may have a short or longer term positive impact
Advanced knowledge in customs valuation and INCOTERMS of delivery
Strong Analytical and technical mindset
Experience in direct communication with Customs Authorities (Hauptzollamt) in Germany, Poland is plus
Advanced German language skills
5+ years of experience in Customs and Trade Compliance role
Experience with customs procedures for B2C and B2B sales
Prefered: Official Government audit experience in Germany
Prefered: Basic knowledge of Project Management
Prefered : Experience working with AEB, SAP
