The Role

As a

(Senior) Innovation / Solution Manager (m/f/d) for Banking Solutions

, you will identify, design, and deliver innovative solution concepts that address emerging needs in the banking industry. Working closely with customers, product teams, and partners, you will

translate market trends into concrete solution designs

and oversee their implementation in

pilot projects

with leading banks.


Your role will combine

market sensing, ideation, solution architecture, and pilot execution

– ensuring that SAP Fioneer stays at the forefront of banking innovation and that new ideas quickly prove their value in real-world use cases.

What You’ll Do

Identify and assess

emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes

impacting core and transaction banking

Collaborate with customers

to explore innovation opportunities and co-create solution concepts Translate innovation ideas into

tangible solution designs

with clear business value and feasibility Lead

pilot implementations

with selected customers, from concept validation to measurable outcomes

Work closely with product management

to feed successful pilots into the product roadmap

Build internal and external networks

to foster continuous innovation (partners, fintechs, industry bodies)

Present innovation concepts

and pilot results to C-level stakeholders, both internally and externally

Contribute to SAP Fioneer’s thought leadership

in banking innovation through events, publications, and client engagements

Requirements

What You Bring

Mandatory:

7+ years in

banking technology, consulting, or product innovation

, with a strong track record in solution design or transformation projects Strong knowledge of

core banking and/or transaction banking

processes and challenges Experience in

innovation projects

– from ideation to pilot delivery Excellent a

bility to engage senior stakeholders

and build consensus around new ideas Strong conceptual and analytical skills, paired with

hands-on delivery mindset

Excellent English communication skills; German is an advantage for DACH engagements

Preferred:

Experience working with SAP banking solutions or other major core banking platforms Exposure to fintech ecosystems and partnerships Familiarity with innovation frameworks (e.g., Design Thinking, Lean Startup) Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
