What You'll Do:

Financial Operations Excellence

Accounts Receivable Management: Maintain customer master data, monitor credit limits, manage collection processes, and ensure accurate account reconciliations Accounts Payable Operations: Process incoming invoices efficiently, create electronic payment runs, and maintain vendor account reconciliation Payment Processing: Handle all incoming and outgoing payments across multiple channels (bank transfers, cash, credit card transactions)

Strategic Financial Support

Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of financial statements under German HGB standards and contribute to month-end/ year end closing processes Assure local German Compliance Corporate Reporting: Input financial results into corporate databases and support group reporting requirements

Specialized Operations

Customs & Trade: Review customs notifications and manage post-clearance documentation processes Expense Management: Verify and process employee travel expenses with attention to policy compliance SOX Compliance: Prepare documentation and provide support for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements

Communication & Collaboration

Stakeholder Relations: Maintain professional correspondence with internal customers and tax consultants in both German and English, in a matrix setup Cross-functional Support: Collaborate with various departments and regions (US, Asia, EU) to ensure smooth financial operations


Requirements:

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills

Strong background and studies in Accounting and finance operations At least 7-10 years working in a similar role Proficiency in German and English (written and verbal) Experience with accounts receivable/payable processes Knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB, IFRS) Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling Advanced Excel and financial software skills ( eg. SAGE, QAD)

Great to have:

Experience with SOX compliance Previous work in a multicultural, industrial environment
