Currently, we are looking for a
Senior Data Scientist (m/f/d) – Machine Learning (Berlin/Remote)
to join our analytics and product team full-time. In this role, you will design, build, and deploy predictive models and data-driven solutions that power our next generation of intelligent workshop software. You’ll work hands-on with real-world process and repair data, lead technical discussions, and shape the future of data science in the automotive aftersales sector.
What will you do?
Develop, implement, and maintain advanced machine learning models to forecast process durations, resource needs, and optimize workshop operations
Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and domain experts to turn business requirements into data-driven solutions
Extract, transform, and analyze large-scale tabular and text data from workshop management and vehicle systems
Build end-to-end data science workflows: from feature engineering and model training to deployment and monitoring in production
Communicate complex analytical concepts and model results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Promote and drive best practices in reproducibility, code quality, and documentation within the Data Science team
Mentor and support junior team members, encouraging a culture of learning, curiosity, and innovation
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in machine learning, predictive analytics, and MLOps
Contribute to technical discussions both remotely and during our regular in-person meetings in Berlin-Schöneberg, where we brainstorm, plan, and share lunch
Support the continuous improvement of our data platform and pipelines in collaboration with software engineers
What skills and knowledge should you bring?
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Fluency in spoken and written English
Good verbal communication in German (at least B1/B2), strong comprehension and writing skills preferred
Excellent knowledge of Python and the common data science ecosystem (pandas, scikit-learn, NumPy, Jupyter, etc.)
At least 5 years of professional experience in Data Science or Machine Learning projects (ideally in a production/operations or industrial setting)
Practical experience with supervised learning, regression, feature engineering, and model evaluation
Familiarity with deploying and monitoring ML models in production environments
Experience with data visualization and communicating insights (e.g., using matplotlib, seaborn, Plotly, Dash, or similar tools)
Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and reproducible code (version control with Git, CI/CD workflows, code reviews)
Ability to translate business and domain requirements into robust analytical solutions
Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills
Willingness and ability to join a team meeting in Berlin once a month
Bonus Skills:
Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, or MLOps tools
Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.)
Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and text data
Familiarity with data privacy and security best practices
Automotive industry experience or interest in aftersales/process optimization
