We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant with deep expertise in General Insurance Pricing. The ideal candidate will have a solid international background, advanced technical skills, and a proven track record in consulting or comparable functions within a Primary Insurance. This role requires strategic thinking, exceptional stakeholder management, and strong interpersonal skills to navigate a global, interdisciplinary environment.

Your Job



Identify client performance needs and develop tailored solutions through hypothesis testing and validation Consult primary insurers on end-to-end pricing solutions, pricing strategy and governance, product development, underwriting strategies and portfolio steering Serve on pricing and underwriting committees to monitor and steer primary insurance portfolios Build and maintain sustainable relationships internally with Client Management, Underwriting, and Claims as well as external counterparts Develop replicable consulting concepts and ensure a competitive service offering Analyse markets, identify growth opportunities, and integrate Munich Re solutions Monitor and respond to pricing related trends (technology, methodology, strategy, product, regulation) Be key contributor to development of Munich Re views on emerging topics (e.g.; AV, EV, Augmented UW) Lead advanced cross-line projects, manage multiple stakeholders, and ensure superior delivery quality and an exceptional client experience for both internal and external clients Present business cases, RFPs, and pitches to client top management; support negotiations Represent Munich Re as a trusted partner, act as the PI Center of Competence within the RI Group, ensuring best practices and offering the full spectrum of services

Your Profile



Tertiary education (BSc/ BA, MSc, PhD), or fellowship in an internationally recognised Actuarial Association Extensive consultancy or primary insurance experience in an international environment, including project management and solution development Deep expertise in primary insurance (strategy, processes, pricing, underwriting, claims, and technology) Proficiency in statistical methods and machine learning, pricing technology (e.g. Earnix, WTW Radar/ Emblem, Akur8) and coding (R or Python) Insurance portfolio performance management and technical reporting Proven leadership in managing cross-cultural teams and delivering results in high-stakes scenarios Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to develop innovative client solutions Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the gravitas to engage C-suite executives High emotional intelligence, customer-centric mindset, and a commitment to excellence Fluent in business English; additional languages such as German, Spanish or French are desirable Willingness to travel and work abroad for extended periods
