We are hiring a a

Senior Communications Specialist

to lead Corporate Communications in EMEA. This role is central to shaping how our employees, leaders, and stakeholders experience Steelcase’s strategy, culture, and transformation journey.


As a trusted communications advisor and storyteller, you will work closely with our EMEA President, executive team, and global colleagues to craft clear, compelling narratives that connect people to our strategy and brand. You’ll lead employee and leadership communications, support strategic projects, and ensure consistent messaging across the region.

Who You Are:

You are a seasoned communications professional with a passion for storytelling and strategic influence. You thrive in dynamic environments, have a strong grasp of business strategy, and know how to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging messages.

Minimum Qualifications

Proven experience in corporate or internal communications, ideally in a multinational environment. Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills across formats and channels. Ability to translate business strategy into clear, engaging communications Confident advisor who can influence senior leaders with credibility and tact. Skilled project manager able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Desired Skills and Experience

Experience with change communications, acquisitions, or transformation projects is a plus. Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.

What You Will Be Doing:

Employee & Leadership Communications

– Lead communications that engage, inform, and inspire employees across EMEA. Write, edit, and coach leaders (including the EMEA President) to deliver impactful messages in multiple formats.

Strategic Projects & Change Communications

– Develop and deliver communication plans that support business priorities, acquisitions, and transformation initiatives.

Regional Liaison

– Serve as the link between EMEA and our global communications team, ensuring alignment and consistency in strategy, storytelling, and execution.

Message Development & Content Creation

– Craft speeches, blogs, newsletters, presentations, videos, and digital content for diverse audiences including employees, leaders, and Steelcase dealer partners.

Advisory Role

– Act as a trusted partner to the EMEA executive team, helping shape narratives, simplify complex topics, and build a strong regional reputation.

Governance & Planning

– Establish rhythms, processes, and standards for communications that ensure clarity, alignment, and measurable impact.
