Aufgaben
It's exciting to work in a company where people truly believe in the purpose of what they do! We are looking to recruit a Scientist (m/f/d) starting August 2025 to take a pioneering role in establishing a new competence in plant-based food ingredients within KWS. This is a full-time position limited to 12 months, serving as parental leave cover, based at our headquarters (KWS Saat SE & Co. KGaA) in Einbeck, Germany.
Your new challenge:

• You will be working with our state-of-the-art genetics, chemistry, and plant breeding teams.
• You will be working on many parallel commercially focused product development projects.
• You will develop and validate protocols for the characterization of functional food ingredients.
• You will be in touch with diverse food applications of plant proteins.
• This is an excellent opportunity to be an influential member of a new initiative in the dynamic and fast-moving plant-based food ingredients trend.

Profil

• MSc in Chemistry, Food Technology, Food Science, or related sciences.
• Ideally you bring first experiences in food ingredient development, formulation, and function.
• Experience in protocol validation is an advantage.
• You have methodological skills in the areas of project management as well as in the establishment of new lab protocols and their documentation
• You have excellent scientific communication skills and are able to "think outside the box".
• You are a great team player with positive energy.
• Very good command of English is required. Knowledge of German is an advantage.
