Job Summary:



We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

Revenue Cycle Manager

to oversee the revenue cycle for a multi-disciplinary behavioral health organization operating internationally. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate and timely billing, payment reconciliation, invoice generation, optimizing reimbursement, minimizing denials, resolving denied claims through appeal and investigation, and maintaining compliance with payor regulations across multiple jurisdictions. This role plays a critical part in sustaining the financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:



Insurance Verification & Eligibility



Design and implement processes to ensure timely and accurate insurance verification for all patients. Oversee coordination between office/intake teams and billing staff to minimize eligibility-related denials.

Payment Reconciliation



Review and reconcile payments against invoices and patient accounts. Identify discrepancies and follow up with payors or internal departments to resolve variances.

Invoice Generation & Patient Billing



Create and send accurate, timely invoices to patients, clients, and third-party payors. Ensure billing complies with payor-specific rules and internal guidelines. Design invoice workflows for patients and third-party payors, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and timeliness.

Denied Claims Management



Implement a robust denial tracking and resolution process, maintaining detailed records of denial trends and outcomes to support process improvement. Prepare and submit timely, comprehensive appeals to recover denied revenue. Analyze denial trends and develop corrective action plans to reduce recurring issues.

Revenue Cycle Oversight & Program Development



Build and lead the RCM function, including end-to-end revenue cycle processes (from charge capture to final payment), workflows, SOPs, automations, and analytics. Provide training and support to staff regarding billing and coding policies, documentation standards, and compliance requirements. Establish metrics and dashboards to track revenue cycle performance (AR days, clean claim rate, etc.); prepare and present regular reports to leadership

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight



Ensure RCM activities adhere to payor policies, applicable laws, regulations, and documentation standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, TRICARE policy). Support audits and ensure proper documentation and responses to payor inquiries or denials. Manage relationships with payors, third-party billing services, and clearinghouses where applicable.

Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor’s degree in finance, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, including 2+ years in a leadership or RCM program development role. Familiarity with insurance payor portals and billing software (e.g., EPIC, Cerner, Kareo, or similar). Strong understanding of EOBs, remittance advice, CPT/ICD-10 codes, and healthcare reimbursement processes. Demonstrated expertise in U.S. healthcare billing and payor regulations (e.g., TRICARE, commercial plans). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Sheets. Experience with outpatient behavioral health and therapy services (OT, SLP, PT, psychology) strongly preferred.
