At Enamine Germany, we are building a diverse and dedicated team of chemists to support our partners from academia, the pharmaceutical industry, and the agrochemical sector through high-quality custom synthesis services.

The Position

We are looking for a Research Associate?to join our synthetic organic and peptide chemistry labs in Frankfurt am Main. This position is ideal for chemistry professionals who enjoy practical lab work and are passionate about contributing to applied research through hands-on synthesis.

You’ll be part of an international?team of around 20 colleagues at our site in Industriepark Höchst in a modern, open space laboratory. We have a motivating, collaborative work environment and support each other with theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience. Everyone’s contribution counts.?

Your responsibilities will include:

Performing lab-scale syntheses, purification, and quality control of custom molecules Operating and maintaining?the equipment and software needed for synthesis and purification Conducting routine analytical tasks using HPLC-MS and NMR, and evaluating the results Contributing to the evaluation and optimization of synthetic and purification processes Documenting your work thoroughly and accurately
What You Bring

You’re a great fit for this role if you enjoy working in a lab, have a solid understanding of and interest in organic chemistry, and like to see the direct impact of your efforts. Ideally, you bring:

Completed studies in chemistry (MSc, or BSc), or completed vocational training as a lab technician (e.g. Chemielaborant/in, CTA, or a comparable technical laboratory qualification); Previous industrial experience in a biopharmaceutical company or CRO is advantageous; You are experienced in independently planning and performing preparative organic syntheses at lab scale and are ready to faithfully follow routine protocols; Experience in solid phase peptide synthesis, parallel chemistry and/or high throughput experimentation is an advantage; You have foundational knowledge of analytical chemistry (HPLC-MS, NMR); You are eager to familiarize?yourself with new instruments and software and operating them confidently, adapt new chemistry techniques/methods, learn and grow; Safe handling of various hazardous substances is routine for you; You work in a dedicated, precise, and reliable manner and thoroughly handle the necessary documentation tasks; You have a strong sense of responsibility when it comes to working in compliance with relevant regulations in the areas of occupational safety, environmental protection, and quality assurance; You are a team player with good communication skills and enjoy a collaborative work environment; Excellent English and/or German language skills are an advantage;
Please note:?This role is best suited for candidates who enjoy hands-on lab work. If your background is more research-theoretical or strongly academic (e.g., PhD holders), this position may not align with your professional goals.
