At the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences / Institute of Physics, Group Physics of Surfaces and Interfaces, subject to budgetary provisions, we are filling the following position as of 23.08.2025 for a limited period of 3 months as part of a parental leave replacment:



Research Assistant (m/f/d) - Physics

THESE ARE YOUR TASKS:



scanning probe microscopy in physiological cell culture media research on functional imaging for the atomic force microscope and active stabilisation data evaluation final experiments graphical presentations deriving and discussing results

THIS MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT:



completed university degree (diploma, master's degree or comparable degree) in physics or biotechnology with at least very good results interest in interdisciplinary themes, e.g. interaction of live cells with surface structures knowledge of the basics of experimental physics or chemistry, especially of interfaces, scanning probe microscopy methods good knowledge of the English language, basic knowledge of the German language and the willingness to expand this knowledge
