The Regional Engineering Director ensures the delivery of highly complex, multi-million-Euro engineering investments across the EUNA (Europe & North America) region. This role drives strategic planning, design, development, and flawless execution of engineering projects while shaping future manufacturing technology capability for the region. Here are the main tasks:
Strategy
As a member of SCET, actively contribute to shaping the global strategy, priorities, and roadmap.
Develop and deploy a regional engineering strategy aligned with company, Supply Chain, and SCET ambitions. In a matrix environment, partner with SC EUNA regional leadership to define site investment plans, capability roadmaps, and future technology needs.
Capex Governance
Lead annual and long-term CapEx planning for all manufacturing sites across the Region.
Ensure disciplined execution and governance of investments with clear ROI focus.
Contribute to regional master planning via robust Site Development Plan processes.
Project Management
Oversee the execution of multiple engineering projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and on-quality delivery (OTIFIB, Vertical Start-Up mindset).
Align with global engineering teams on project priorities, resources, and technical standards.
Ensure rigorous project management methodologies, risk control, learning loops, and performance tracking.
Technology Development
Identify, scale, and embed new technologies that enhance productivity, automation, digitalization, sustainability, and competitiveness.
Drive adoption of data-driven decision-making and advanced manufacturing technologies.
Ensure seamless integration of new technologies across sites in close collaboration with global functions and manufacturing leadership.
Maintenance Roadmap
Develop and implement a Lighthouse maintenance strategy aligned with SC Manufacturing Excellence principles.
Elevate maintenance maturity using TPM pillars, especially Early Equipment Management (EM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM).
Ensure standardization, cost efficiency, reliability, and operational excellence across all sites.
Organization and Processes
Act as the regional engineering subject-matter expert and key partner to site and corporate engineering teams.
Identify synergies across sites, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement.
Lead the development and deployment of early management and preventive maintenance processes.
Partner closely with Global Safety to ensure all engineering projects fully embed best-in-class safety standards from design through implementation.
Leadership and Organizational Development
Functional lead of the technical organization in the region.
Build, coach, and develop a strong engineering talent pipeline and future successors.
Shape a high-performance culture and strengthen collaboration across sites and global teams.
Your Profile

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (mandatory).
Extensive experience in high-volume or complex manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain environments.
Several years in senior leadership roles with regional or global responsibilities.
Proven track record leading large-scale, multi-million Euro CapEx programs.
Strong expertise in CapEx management, technology implementation, and sustainability initiatives.
Robust Manufacturing Excellence, Lean, or TPM experience (especially EM/PM pillars).
Ability to influence across cultures and senior stakeholders in a matrix setting.
Strategic, data-driven decision maker.
Strong project management expertise across borders and functions.
Fluent in English.
Regional travel required.
