Position Summary:
The Tooling Parts Inspector inspects Cross-head/Die parts following detail drawings, layouts, and other written and verbal specifications for quality and compliance.
Essential/Key Functions:Inspect and Tooling detail parts Perform packaging and shipping duties Conducts final part inspections Assist with in-process inspections Complete and maintain quality charts/records for management Communicates directly with team members to resolve quality issues Train/guide associates, sales, Engineering and customers

Competencies:Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation Knowledge of basic measuring instruments: calipers, micrometers, thread & plug gages, height gage, optical comparator, knowledge of CMM is a plus Ability to work independently and as a team Working knowledge of E-1 (JD Edwards) is preferred Working knowledge of Excel and Word is preferred Have extensive knowledge of OSS and option requirements Working knowledge of OSHA machine safety signs

Minimum (Required) Qualifications:Associates degree or equivalent from a 2-year technical school in machining or engineering; or 2 plus years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
