What to Expect


Tesla is seeking a lead to develop and implement quality systems. This position will involve business process design, implementation and project management of a team of engineers to achieve quantifiable improvements to the Tesla quality systems.

What You'll Do

Lead a team of quality system engineers in the deployment and continuous improvement of the Tesla Quality Management Systems. Work with the factory leadership team to identify local business owners for existing QMS processes and support deployment of existing systems. Build a site internal auditing team to identify gaps in the quality management system review audit findings with the leadership team to and advise on the prioritized list of projects. Partner with the US team to improve global policies, procedures and standards. Lead control of non-conforming material, problem solving, document control, internal audits in the factory. Support the quality and factory teams by creating metrics, dashboards and adhoc data analytics tasks. Translate business process needs into software design requirements. Lead problem solving framework (Six Sigma, A3, 8D). Prioritize multiple projects across all departments and systems and provide status updates to stakeholders; Proactively identify improvement opportunities (potential gaps between process and system) across all business functions, developing tools that allow for visibility into process bottlenecks and inconsistencies Perform training to various functions on new roll outs and functionality changes





What You'll Bring

5+ years of experience in quality, quality management systems, ISO 9001 auditing/consulting or QMS software solution design/implementation. Knowledge of quality system industry standards including ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and AIAG. Strong management system fundamentals and intuition. Experience supervising teams in a fast-paced environment. Have high attention to details and be able to work under pressure. Be a team player and have the ability to collaborate well across diverse functional groups. Strong verbal and written communication skills to manage and communicate the health and integrity of the data and systems. Detail oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills Fluent in English language, German as a plus Extra points for data visualization experience (Tableau Preferred)
