You’ll make an impact by



Lead complex projects like Benchmarks:

You lead ambitious Cost and Value Engineering (CVE) projects on a global level for our Smart Infrastructure Business Unit and cross functions, establish full cost transparency, align it with specifications and requirements, and identify optimization opportunities

Cost and Value Analysis:

Applying bottom-up costing methods, you define target and reference costs, develop cost models, and evaluate alternative technical solutions for cost efficiency

Teamwork:

Close collaboration with internal customers, production sites, and suppliers ensures that you deliver measurable results and tangible value

You are supported by a global CVE network

and the cross-functional teams of our clients

Your defining qualities



Education

+ You hold a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a comparable technical discipline

Experience & Skills

+ With a long-term experience in Cost & Value Engineering, PLM consulting, procurement, or design engineering, you bring deep project know-how and a results-oriented mindset

“bottom up” cost expertise:

You have proven expertise in detailed cost calculation for at least one of the following manufacturing technologies: +

Plastics

(thermoplastics, thermosets, elastomers)
+

Metal parts

(stamping, casting, forging, machining)
+

Electronics

(PCBA, SMD/THT)
+ Assembly processes (manual or automated)

Alternative technologies:

+

Methodology competency:

You’re proficient in CVE methodologies such as benchmarking, function cost analysis, requirements engineering, and project management
+

Technical skills:

Strong technical understanding allows you to confidently interpret mechanical drawings, 3D models, and customer specifications
+

IT skills:

You are skilled in using MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), cost estimation and design tools, and AI-supported work applications
+

Product know-how:

Broad product and process knowledge in areas like automation, electrical energy distribution, building technology, or electronics manufacturing is highly beneficial

Personality:

You’re an organized, strategic thinker with excellent project and time management skills, combining innovation with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset

Language skills:

Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written, enable you to navigate global collaboration with ease

Travel capabilities:

Occasional travel to customers and suppliers is part of your dynamic and international role
