Become a member of the Akademie der Saarwirtschaft (ASW gGmbH) and the

Saarland University of Applied Sciences (htw saar) family. Together, we offer dual

bachelor's degree programs in Business Informatics, Business Administration,

Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Integrated Sustainable Building

Technology. In this context, we would like to announce a joint professorship in

accordance with Sections 92 (2) and 43 (9) of the SHSG (State Law on Higher

Education and Science Funding). The approximately 400 students in dual degree

programs at the htw saar, which has currently over 6,000 students, are supervised in

cooperation with the ASW in Neunkirchen. Enjoy the benefits of a dynamic and lively

The following permanent position is available at the ASW and the htw saar as part of

a joint appointment in accordance with Section 43 (9) SHSG at the earliest possible

date:

Professorship (m/f/d) for “Business

Informatics and Digital Transformation”

You have sound scientific knowledge and practical professional experience in the
relevant field (in particular system applications under Microsoft Windows,


databases, big data with Hadoop, and applied artificial intelligence)


Outstanding scientific and teaching qualifications A distinctly application-oriented profile in research and development is desirable Strong language skills in German and English Additional language skills in French are an advantage, as is proof of international
experience and contacts

Your profile

Taking over relevant courses, primarily in the dual bachelor's program in
Business Informatics


Developing and implementing contemporary teaching formats Dedicated participation in furthering the dual study and continuing
education programs offered by the ASW, the faculty, and the university,


as well as in academic self-governance


A willingness to cooperate and work in an interdisciplinary manner across
different fields of study


Representing your subject area in teaching and didactic development On-site presence at the university in order to provide optimal support for
students
