Pre-Breeder

for

Oilseed Rape breeding

. In this role, you will work as part of an international team of plant breeders and scientists.

This diverse position is initially limited to one year as part of a maternity leave replacement and is to be filled on a

full-time basis

. The workplace is located at the company’s headquarters in

Einbeck

, Lower Saxony.

Your responsibilities in this role:

Implementation and improvement of oilseed rape pre-breeding programs, especially regarding resistance to insect pests and diseases Establishment, design, and evaluation of field and greenhouse trials Application and evaluation of molecular markers in pre-breeding programs Process optimization in breeding programs Participation in external and internal research projects

Bring in your strengths:

Completed studies in the field of plant breeding or biology Solid knowledge in plant breeding and plant pathology Good knowledge of quantitative genetics and statistics Strong teamwork skills and a high sense of responsibility Fluency in English language. German and/or French knowledge is advantageous Willingness to undertake national and international travel (approx. 25%)
