We aim to study the role of the hematopoietic system as a hub between cardiovascular and kidney diseases. Our Department of Nephrology and EKFZ (Else Kröner-Fresenius-Stiftung)

Your Role:




Make use of state-of-the art technologies and ample training opportunities, mentoring and a stimulating, translational environment Independently develop new ideas and cutting-edge new translational projects Planning, execution and analysis of experiments aiming to mechanistically and functionally characterize the hematopoietic system at the interface between heart and kidney Publication of scientific manuscripts in high-ranking journals Participation in scientific conferences and research networks

A master degree and a PhD in biochemistry, cellular / molecular biology, medical biology, computational biology or a related field. Solid expertise in cell and molecular biology, medical biology, and physiology In-depth knowledge of molecular biology, ideally including experience with single-cell technologies and epigenetics Very good command of English Strong IT skills and advanced knowledge of bioinformatics Organized, team-oriented, flexible, open-minded, and possessing strong communication skills Due to legal regulations, valid proof of measles immunity / measles vaccination is required
