Mechanical Engineer (m/w/d)



Purpose:



The role of the Mechanical Engineer is to create, calculate and design mechanical components for NDT's non-destructive testing systems, as well as contributing to the innovative optimization of existing systems in terms of costs, handling and operational effectiveness.

Innovates and develops new approaches in collaboration with other departments. Prepares technical drafts and examinations according to product specifications. Prepares and calculates detailed solutions incl FEM, fluid dynamic and kinematics analyses. Creates engineering documentation such as calculation documents, work instructions and orders. Creates and checks technical drawings and bill of materials for production and assembly. Compiles information on purchase and production components for the Purchasing Department, provides technical support as required. Conducts fundamental investigations in Technology Services and participates in the planning and design of tests and test equipment.

Requirements:



A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related subject is required; a Master's degree is preferred. A minimum of three years' experience in designing mechanical components is required. Experience in finite element method (FEM) calculation is required and simulation of fluid dynamics is a plus. Proficiency in spoken and written English and German is essential. Proficient in Solidworks or other 3D drawing programs.
