Your tasks
As a mechanical engineer you will be responsible for the mechanical design, product approval and achievement of robust series production of Leuze sensors:
You will shape the overall design of optical sensors in close cooperation with related disciplines such as optics, electronics and industrial engineering
You will select and evaluate design concepts and manufacturing processes to best meet all functional requirements
As a source of knowledge, you will support other experts and teams regarding aspects of manufacturing, assembly and suitability for automation
You will work on the continuous optimization of your products with respect to performance, cost, and quality
You feel confident and comfortable working in an international environment
Your profile
You hold a degree in mechanical or precision engineering or similar
You have a proven track record in the product development of optical sensors with a focus on design, tolerancing and industrialization up to series production (at least 3-5 years of professional experience)
A high degree of independence and a systematic way of working will stand out for you
You are keen to take ownership and to passionately drive your ideas forward
You show deep interdisciplinary understanding beyond your personal core area of expertise
You are a confident communicator in English and willing to improve your good German language skills
You are eligible for a German work permit
