About the Role




The Manager, Supply Chain Strategy & Development plays a central role in shaping and managing the execution of the global supply chain strategy in close collaboration with the Director of Supply Chain Excellence. This includes continuously refining the strategy based on internal performance insights and external market dynamics, tracking execution progress, and reporting on project status across the supply chain organization.


As a key member of the Supply Chain Excellence function, the role leads complex, cross-functional initiatives that directly impact the global supply chain team and influence broader business operations. In addition to strategic execution, the role is responsible for driving development of the supply chain organization (~85 people), including the design of capability roadmaps and role-based competency frameworks to build and sustain supply chain excellence.


Success in this role requires strategic thinking, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

What You Will Do



SCM Strategy Development & Execution Tracking



Develop the global supply chain strategy in close collaboration with the Head of SCM and Head of SCM Excellence, ensuring alignment with SCM and Operations Leadership and Harman’s corporate and automotive objectives Review and continuisly update the SCM transformation roadmap Collaborate with functional stakeholders to develop business cases for strategic initiatives Track execution status of the strategy and continuously update the strategy based on evolving macroeconomic and microeconomic dynamics, market trends, and internal performance insights. Ensure cross-functional alignment between supply chain initiatives and broader corporate strategies, working closely with Manufacturing, Procurement and Operations Excellence Teams Collaborate with functional stakeholders to develop business cases for strategic initiatives

Organizational Development



Review, design and refine the SCM target operating model and derive organizational development efforts in collaboration with the SCM leadership to ensure strategic alignment and operational effectiveness Develop a comprehensive capability matrix that defines the required skills, competencies, and responsibilities across all roles within the supply chain organization Design training roadmaps tailored to functional and leadership needs, and orchestrate onboarding and training programs in collaboration with trainers and the training development team to build and sustain supply chain capabilities Drive change management and communication to support successful implementation of organizational initiatives and ensure employee engagement and adoption Develop project success metrics and feedback mechanisms, including surveys, to evaluate the performance of the Excellence team and continuously drive a culture of operational excellence

Project Management, Execution & Performance Tracking



Lead and drive strategic and transformational initiatives that enhance supply chain efficiency, network resilience, scalability, and cost optimization across operations functions Develop and implement structured project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, PMP) to enhance execution excellence Oversee and track a portfolio of supply chain projects with moderate to high complexity, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and deliver measurable impact Identify risks, create mitigation plans, and ensure proactive problem-solving to address challenges before they escalate Develop project success measurements and surveys to measure performance of the excellence team

Stakeholder Engagement & Executive Alignment



Drive stakeholder engagement across functions, facilitating decision-making and ensuring alignment throughout project lifecycles. Act as a change agent, effectively communicating the vision, goals, and progress of strategic initiatives to secure executive buy-in.

Vendor Management & External Collaboration



Manage external vendors, ensuring accountability for performance and alignment with supply chain transformation goals. Leverage external expertise and industry best practices to enhance the effectiveness of supply chain project execution.

What You Need to Be Successful



A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field 8+ years of experience in supply chain project management, program management, or 5+ management or strategy consulting; background in the automotive sector is beneficial Proven ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional projects with significant impact on business operations and supply chain performance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills, with experience influencing senior executives and driving alignment across functions. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English, enabling effective engagement across all organizational levels. Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, supporting strategic analysis, reporting, and high-quality executive presentations.
