Our interdisciplinary team of data engineers, architects, and data scientists uses modern Azure technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks and Delta Lake to develop meaningful data products for our customers in the manufacturing, energy, retail, financial services, and mobile apps sectors. We work closely with Microsoft and use innovations such as mirroring, which enables virtually ETL-free replication of operational data in OneLake, and the vision of a unified lakehouse—a central data store that merges lake and warehouse. This allows us to create reliable data foundations that make AI solutions possible in the first place.


As a

Lead Data & AI Platform Engineer – Azure Data Engineering

, you will define the technical vision and strategy for data platforms on Azure. You will coordinate multiple projects, develop reference architectures, and ensure governance and compliance are maintained. You will actively drive new Azure features (Fabric, Mirroring, AI support) and represent the company to customers and partners.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Strategic planning and further development of the data platform; definition of standards and roadmaps for lakehouse architectures on Azure Management of the deployment of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Delta Lake mirroring, and Unity Catalog; evaluation of innovations (e.g., Lakeflow, AI-based pipeline design) for productive use Conducting risk and compliance assessments; ensuring data protection, governance, and security policies Technical leadership of data engineering teams, coaching, and knowledge transfer Management of stakeholder communication in German and English; participation in pre-sales and technical workshops

A hybrid/remote setup is possible in Germany (primary residence required)

7+ years of experience in data engineering and architecture; expertise in large-scale Azure data solutions Proven leadership skills, stakeholder management, and ability to implement strategic programs In-depth knowledge of data governance, compliance, and secure cloud architectures; experience with Purview, Unity Catalog, and DataOps * Fluent in German, very good English; strong communication skills
