European XFEL is an international non-profit company located in the Hamburg area in Germany. It operates a 3.4 km-long X-ray laser, which produces X-rays of unique quality for studies in physics, chemistry, the life sciences, materials research and other disciplines. The diverse scientific facilities at European XFEL enable scientists from across the globe to carry out a wide range of experimental techniques.
For our Procurement group we are looking for a

Junior Procurement Officer (f/m/d)

The Position

Purchasing of goods and services in accordance with public procurement law (VGV and UVgO) Placing of purchase orders below and ideally also above EU thresholds Evaluation of offers and price negotiations lnvoice/order confirmation processing, invoice processing Clarifying invoice differences Supporting the Procurement Team and other purchasing relevant duties as assigned

Requirements

Completed university degree preferably in business administration or a comparable field of qualification Education and / or training in commercial disciplines (business administration or similar) Purchasing experience in public procurement environment Knowledge of public procurement procedures and laws Preferably experience in foreign trade and custom matters Preferably Knowledge of ERP Systems and use of electronic procurement platforms Fluent in German and English (reading and writing)
