About the Role:




As an IT Support Engineer within the durable goods manufacturing sector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of all IT systems that support manufacturing processes and business functions. Your primary objective will be to provide timely and effective technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and maintain the integrity of IT infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize IT solutions that enhance productivity and operational efficiency. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring system performance, managing updates, and ensuring compliance with company IT policies and security standards. Your expertise will directly contribute to minimizing downtime and enabling the manufacturing operations to run smoothly and securely in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications:



Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience in IT support or a similar technical role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, networking fundamentals, and common enterprise software. Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting, system administration, and user support best practices. Proficiency in German and English to effectively communicate with local and international teams.

Preferred Qualifications:



Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or equivalent. Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and industrial control systems (ICS). Knowledge of Intune and Microsoft e365 Knowledge of GDPR principles Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and experience implementing security measures in an industrial setting. Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud services. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:



Provide first and second-level technical support to internal users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and peripheral devices used in manufacturing and office environments. Monitor IT infrastructure performance and security, applying patches and updates as necessary to maintain system integrity. Collaborate with IT and manufacturing teams to deploy new technologies and improve existing systems to support production goals. Document support activities, maintain inventory of IT assets, and assist in developing IT policies and procedures.

Skills:




The required skills enable you to diagnose and resolve a wide range of technical issues efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing operations. Your expertise in operating systems and networking will be essential for maintaining system stability and connectivity across multiple sites. Communication skills in both German and English will facilitate clear interaction with diverse teams and vendors. Preferred skills, such as certifications and knowledge of industrial systems, will enhance your ability to support specialized manufacturing technologies and contribute to strategic IT initiatives. Together, these skills empower you to deliver high-quality IT support that aligns with the company’s operational goals and security standards.
