The Apple Cellular Protocol Software (CPS) team is actively looking for an intern to learn and grow in our Cross Protocol Stack and Tooling team. Join us and be part of the team that powers the working productivity and efficiency of Apple software development!

As a member of this team, you will use your practical knowledge and experience with computer science to help us build, maintain and extend the necessary tools and unit test systems that assure successful, efficient and bug-free delivery of the software and collaborate with the most innovative software teams in the world.

This Internship position provides prospective candidates an opportunity to get hands on experience working with the Cross Protocol Stack and Tooling team at Apple. Based on your experience, system understanding and internal customer orientation you drive use of generative AI (GenAI) for unit testing.","responsibilities":"The scope of the internship is related to the protocol stack unit testing framework and could include:

Contributing to AI/ML supported automation of test case creation and updates

Exploring possibilities, improvements and limitations of AI/ML

Contributing to extending the unit test driver framework and documentation

SW development, verification and debugging

Code Coverage and gap analysis

Preferred Qualifications

Familiar with both MacOS and Linux operating systems for development purposes

Shell-scripting (e.g. bash-shell) and automation scripts (perl, python)

Knowledge of Git

Basic understanding of Cellular Protocol Stack

Ability to work independently and as a member of a CPS Component Framework team

Strong communication ability across teams

Willingness to learn, improve and be mentored

Minimum Qualifications

Familiarity with C/C++

Knowledge/Experience in the area of generative AI tools and LLMs

Software testing knowledge
