Job Description
Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.
We want you as a talented EWIS intern to learn and help us in our mission by supporting EMI/EMC, Grounding/Bonding and Plasma Charging analyzes.
This is a unique opportunity to learn from the inside core of the system design and equipment team how to construct an electrical system of a highly complex spacecraft.
You will be successful in this role if you are able to build with us:
Learn and support process definition and writing of EMC Test/Qualification Procedures for the avionic units
Participate in the EMC test setup definition (loads, harness, electrical bonding, etc.)
Provide oversight /witnessing to the EMC testing
Analyze test results and identify sources of electromagnetic interference
Document test procedures, results, and findings in detailed test reports
Support EMC verification (analyses, testing)
Learn and Review manufacturing documentation from the EMC perspective (harness drawings, installation drawings, etc.)
What we would love to see from you:
Engineering degree in space/electrical field or equivalent (recently graduated or currently in studies) Willingness to contribute to build and support system design Organized and rigorous Hands-on approach Inventive and problem solver Team spirit Good communication skills and fluency in English Adaptive and eager to learn
