, we are open to considering applicants from elsewhere in Germany and can offer flexible arrangements.

This role will initially focus on Data Privacy (primary emphasis) and will progressively expand into broader Information Security responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive data privacy framework aligned to regulations (e.g., GDPR) and standards (e.g., ISO 27701) Identify and proactively manage risks related to information security and data privacy Enforce security policies and foster a culture of privacy and data integrity across all business units Manage daily privacy operations, including maintaining records of processing activities, conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and handling data subject rights requests
Provide privacy consulting and support to internal teams, including regions outside the EU and Switzerland

Collaborate with IT and legal teams to align privacy and security controls Support the development and delivery of security awareness and training programs Support incident response planning and investigations of privacy violations or data breaches Ensure ongoing compliance with global data protection and security standards (ISO 27001/27701)

Skills, knowledge and expertise

Bachelor’s degree or completed apprenticeship in Law, Information Technology, Logistics, or equivalent Entry-level to 3 years of professional experience in data privacy, compliance, or a related field Good understanding of data privacy regulations, especially GDPR
Basic knowledge of information security principles and project management methods is desirable

Data privacy certifications (e.g., CIPM, CIPP/E) are a plus
Business-oriented thinking and willingness to learn

Strong communication skills, able to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Professional proficiency in English (required); upper intermediate proficiency in German (desired)
