What you can expect from us:
This position creates value through the development and maintenance of advanced, innovative edge device software for industrial embedded systems, with a core focus on IIoT applications. The role involves collaborating with international teams to design, implement, and test Python-based embedded solutions, ensuring efficient communication between edge devices and cloud infrastructure. Strong experience with embedded Python is required, and Java backend development knowledge is considered a plus. Your work will contribute to scalable, robust products handling complex industry requirements.
Your tasks:
Work with international development teams to design, code, and test embedded IIoT device agents in Python
Contribute to the design and maintenance of IIoT components, including device/application management, firmware update mechanisms, and log retrieva
Write unit, integration, and functional tests, focusing on maintaining high code quality
Optimize communication between embedded devices and cloud services, collaborating with backend and DevOps engineers
Improve CI/CD tooling and automation in embedded and cloud-based environments
Conduct research and evaluation of new technologies for IIoT infrastructure improvement
Analyze complex business requirements to design efficient, flexible, and scalable solutions
Researching and evaluating new technologies to improve our end-to-end IoT infrastructure or code bases

What makes you special:
Masters degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Robotics, Software Engineering, or a related field
Minimum
4+ years of
full stack software development in embedded and edge computing environments
Strong expertise in
Python development
and embedded systems implementation
Experience in
Java backend development
, building and maintaining RESTful APIs is a plus
Familiarity with
industrial IIoT protocols (MQTT, Dbus, Rest)
and
cloud integrations
Hands-on experience in
CI/CD pipelines
, industrial automation, and microservices
Experience with
Bitbucket, Git, and Jira tools
Solid command of written and verbal English
Agile development and software testing knowledge
Structured and systematic way of working
Self-motivated, result oriented, independent, culturally sensitive
Working as a team and excellent collaboration with other group departments, external suppliers and field operation units is your key attitude
