A leading European renewable energy company is actively shaping the energy transition and tackling climate change. With a strong presence in both offshore and onshore wind, the company delivers clean, reliable, and innovative energy solutions across multiple markets.
They are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their in-house team and provide expert legal support for ambitious growth projects across the renewable energy sector, including offshore development, corporate governance, and commercial contracts.
The Role:
You will provide hands-on legal advice across a range of areas including:
Offshore wind projects: supporting construction, operation, and claims management. Corporate matters: advising on joint ventures, company law, and internal governance. Contract drafting, negotiating, and reviewing agreements across offshore and energy trading operations. Regulatory compliance: advising on permits, energy law, and relevant renewable energy legislation. Managing external counsel and ensuring cost-effective legal solutions.
The Person
Fully qualified German lawyer (Volljurist, LL.M. or equivalent) with 2–5 years of experience in private practice or as in-house counsel. Exposure to renewable energy, offshore construction, corporate law, or energy trading is a plus. Fluent in German and English with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly organised, process-oriented, and capable of working independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment. Motivated by challenging legal work and confident in negotiations.
